The Education Collaborative envisions a Solidarity Economy Laboratory to provide a space for dialog, exchange of experiences, reflection, experimentation, socio-political innovation and co-creation that could advance the transition to sustainable communities that put LIFE in the center. This implies educational approaches which depart from many established educational practices in order to stress holistic learning and core values of mutual aid, cooperation, sustainability and harmony with nature. For this reason much attention is devoted to:
- Collective learning
- Learning by doing
- Reclaiming capacity to act
- Developing capacities for self-organization
- Action, reflection and transformation
In many ways, we already have a Solidarity Economy Laboratory here in Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende. There are many educational projects address the elements of a broad social and solidarity economy education. The organizations below are an example of just some of them.
