Join the Ecosystem Restoration Experience at Rancho Via Organica in Mexico - March 3 to 15

12/14/2018

As part of a global campaign, Camps Ecosystem Restoration are joining forces with the Mexican project of Regeneration International, Via Organica, to develop a model of methods for farmers in semi-arid regions to absorb carbon from the atmosphere, restore soil fertility, better retention of rain water and restore tree cover. We offer the opportunity to learn how to restore degraded land, increase organic food production and build a working model of regenerative practices in the highlands of Guanajuato north of the central part of Mexico.

This practical experience and cultural exchange two weeks in the picturesque Rancho Education Via Organica, a training center 15 miles from the world heritage site of the UN, San Miguel Allende, will help you develop your perspective and regenerative abilities.

El Rancho Via Organica is designed is a model of how 75 hectares of agricultural land and pasture once degraded can be converted into a node of regeneration in semi-arid highlands (2,100 meters) in Mexico, producing vegetables, herbs, fruits , seeds and animal products highly nutritious

Regenerative organic for several thousand people in the restaurant Via Organica, market and food shop in nearby San Miguel.

Through your experience you will learn different techniques including organic and regenerative bio-intensive gardening, preparing compost , saving seeds and planting trees. You will also be able to explore the local area around the site and visit the beautiful colonial city of San Miguel de Allende.

This great work is one of the most powerful solutions to avert the climate crisis. To regenerate soils and forests of thousands of millions of hectares of farmland and pastures that were once fertile, we need to show and, in some cases, build models that work and show how farmers can regenerate rural landscapes and rural livelihoods , on every continent, in every nation.
